3 basic requirements to be fulfilled by each floating fuel station:

  • ecological safety
  • operational integrity
  • mobility

Ecological safety.

Oil products' overflow is shut out.

We took into account growing demands of environment protection and designed double-walled fuel tanks in which the wholeness of insulation space can be controlled. So even for any reason leaking happens, fuel will not spill into the water.

Cargo tanks are made with double covering from all sides. There is air space between coverings.

Special tanks exist for collection of oil-considering and sewage waters.

Pipes canalize oil-considering and sewage waters to the shore or to special vessel.

Cargo deck is hedged with 100 mm height coaming in the area where oil outpouring is possible.

Gathering of split oil is provided through deck drains into special tank.

Inlet nozzles of the cargo system are situated inside tight bunker.

Using the classic vessel's form as oil-carrying ship with set-in fuel tank let us keep up with the times.

The acceptance by Russian Federation of "Bunker Convention" makes stricter the usage of single-hulled oil-loading ships.  

Operational use.

The usage of FFS 50.1 has a very clear simple scheme.

Navigation period.

The vessel is planned in such a way to be used both during summers and winters. As distinct from other similar vessels it is not necessary to whip and launch the vessel twice a year and that can safe workforce and means.     

When assembling the body frame we do not use the spanners and screws. That can elongate performance life of the vessel.   


Acceptance and production of fuel is conducted only by closed way that confirms ecological safety. Such an operation can be performed by a single person.

Also the reservoir monitoring system is set on board for high-precision remote fuel level sensing. The system can automatically control the reservoir tightness.     


All equipment that is set on board is fully automatic. Human factor is minimized. Because of automated systems service turned into monitoring and control.


FFS 50.1 - flexibility when changing the location.

In St. Petersburg we notice the growing interest for carrying different regattas. That causes an opportunity to provide services for fuelling on the places where yachts and motorboats are basing. That's why we thought over the operating procedure how to remove FFS from the basing site and move to any place along the Neva river. The whole dislocation procedure takes less than 1 light day.


All requirements for safe and sure lashing are foreseen on the station. There are 6 doubled weld bollards, 6 steel mooring cleats, 3 synthetic fiber ropes up to 30 meters each.   

Along the broadside the rubbing band is put that lets to __ alongside any vessel either pneumatical boat or premium class yacht.

FFS 50.1 is projected in such a way that can be set anywhere either on the moorage or open space. You do not need to dive into the bed fixing piles that saves from many problems such as getting the permission for underwater works, mechanical works, and dependence on the depth.     

Our project of smaller FFS for 12 m3 of fuel lets to set up the station even in so-called in-city pool. All ecological demands are kept on the highest level.


We won't explain that we know how to coordinate such objects.

We'll just write that we instigated and took part in developing technical procedures for coordination for setting of floating fuel stations in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
