About us

LLC "Fuel Systems Engineering" was founded in 2007 for construction and building of refueling stations on water for fueling of small size vessels and water crafts. During working for other companies our specialists accumulated great experience in that sphere. Now we posses sufficient knowledge and powers to found a company that is able to develop refueling substructure on water.

We consider the main requirements for our projects to be:

  • simplicity of construction and exploitation
  • high quality and low price
  • maximum possible service and comfort for clients

Floating Fuel Stations – its construction and service peculiarities

For efficiency upgrading of the service for small size vessels special fuelers or floating fuel stations are used. Floating fuel stations are especially important for sea and river ports where passengers' boats, leisure and sport boats are stationed. Fueling using canisters takes a lot of time and is a tiresome and ecologically unsafe deal – the risk of outflow exists. While tankage is safe, no chance of outflow exists and fueling is carried very quickly.

What is Floating Fuel Station

Modern floating fuel stations are bunkering vessels that provide motor boats, yachts and sea-planes with petrol, kerosene and diesel fuel. Cargo tanks with double bulkheads are built in the vessel hull. Fuelling is carried on water using a fuel dispenser that is located on the upper deck under the shed. The temperature for fuel station's exploitation is among -40 and +50 degrees Celsius.

On oil carriers special multistage guard system against fuel overflow is set.  Scuppers on the upper deck provide ecological safety of the reservation. Putting afloat is carried out by a ground cargo-handling – crane.

Documents needed for permission

During last years small craft quantity grows and the question about the rundown of waste of fuel appeared. Than floating fuel stations were placed in service and that let to solve that important problem. Nowadays fuelers not only provide fuel to vessels but also deliver used fuel on shore. Such nonpropelled oil vessels are strictly controlled by governmental documents from reliability point, constructive and ecological safety. That is why floating station need to have license for that kind of service to fulfill all legacy rules.

Each FFS that provide vessels with fuel needs to have several necessary certificates: certificate of classification, bill of tonnage and a special document that include the information about load mark.
